The pain cuts deep
The knife is lodged inside
I keep trying to pull it out
but it wants to take me for a ride
The lies keep coming
The deceit not far behind
the unspoken words
is the work of a mastermind
The pain is exposed
as we both try to speak
the hurt in our tone
only makes me weak
The ugliness of it all
has to come to an end
I cherish the time we had
and consider him a friend
Life goes on
as God leads the way
I have only good thoughts and wishes

It sounds like you are on your way to moving on, you have acccepted what life lead you to experience. I have to admitt, honestly, There are many (experiences) in my own life that I have not accepted nor even know how to accept.
The way you express yourself in your beautiful writings help me to see the courage and will you have to move ahead, and not let the hurt of the past determine where you go from here.
