Building Your Foundation

Every Experience GOD gives us, every person He puts in our lives, is the perfect preparation of the future in which only He can see.

I see now that everything I have gone through had a purpose in my life.  There was a good reason God had me wait, struggle, endure the pain, and finally release it all.  I still feel as if there is a bit more to release, but I know in time I will let it go when I’m ready.  God has been cleaning me out so to speak and getting me ready for my next adventure in life.  I’m not sure what that will be, but I trust God that he knows what is best for me.  God takes pride in his work.  He isn’t going to build me up using cheap materials.  It takes time to build a sturdy body and mind.

It all begins with the foundation.  With anything you build, if you don’t have a strong beginning, it will soon crumble.  All the ups and downs of the past 11 months have strengthened my foundation and have helped me get to my desired place in life; the finished product, which is a healthy me or you:)

I’ve had a rough few days.  Hurtful things were put in front of me and I crumbled a bit.  But my foundation has been building for a while now; it is strong, but not solid yet.  Because of that, I am on the upswing today.  God put that situation in front of me to help build another layer into my foundation.  I know I’m almost there.  My structure will be solid soon.  What layer are you on in building your foundation for the future?

“I will persist.  I will always take another step.  If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another.” ~ Og Mandino~

Keep building, you life is waiting!

  1. Hang in there Kimberly. You are definitely on the right track, and it is obvious to see, and read, that you have put a lot of energy into what you believe. Standing firm in those beliefs precludes the adversary from taking hold and dragging you into a pit of despair. Press on sister!
