Dance to Your Own Life Song!

“I will not stand to the side and allow the music in my heart to fade away and die.  I will dance to my own life song.”

As we move forward with our life, change has to take place.  We start out with baby steps and take short little walks; we get our feet wet, and eventually take the plunge.  I can say, I proudly took the plunge this week!

I am done with the baby steps. I have grown spiritually, emotionally, and have made some suttle changes within my living environment, but today I bit the big one!

I decided if I was going to  continue to move forward and keep growing, I needed to change where I spend my days, where my paycheck comes from, and where I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life; The elementary school I call my second home.

I felt the restlessness inside me growing daily.  I prayed for some guidance.  The opportunity presented itself and I felt compelled to take it.  The door had opened and I needed to walk through.  It’s a bit scary on the other side;  not knowing where I’m going or who I will be working for.  But my faith in God is strong.  I trust he will lead me to a place where I can grow and be appreciated.  I will miss my friends and the comfort of a place I know so well.

The time was right.  I was ready to jump in.  There isn’t any fear.  I’m excited to start fresh at a new school, new collegues, new students.  Life is ever changing.   Our fears can control the movement or lack of in our lives. If we continue to stay where we are, our growth is stunted.  We are rowing in a sea of sand and moving nowhere.

Take a look at where you are in your life.  Are you ready for the plunge?  Do you need to take a few more baby steps?  Start widening that stride.  The world is vast.  The opportunities are endless.  What is stopping you?

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm  you, plans to give you hope and a future. ~Jeremiah 29:11~

I continue to move forward.  I am certain that my dance is secure!
