“Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can.” ~Danny Kaye~
I just happened to come across this quote when I got home and it reminded me of my afternoon.
I met with the illustrator of my picture book today. As we were talking, I told her how much I envied her ability to paint and express herself through art. She smiled and said, “but you do the same thing.” I looked at her for a moment and responded, “Yes, I guess I do. The world around me is my canvas. My camera is my paint brush, and my voice is heard through the words I write.”
Your life is a canvas. You can add a lot of color and live your life, or be safe and go with brown. What we put on our canvas is up to us. Personally, my canvas is loaded with color, Red being dominant. So, what does that say about me? I don’t always have a plan. I can just go and have fun wherever I end up. The red means I take risks and stand out on occasion. I take the road less traveled and I don’t hide behind a facade. I’m just me and I like who that is:) The more colors you add, the more risks you take. But isn’t living your life supposed to be colorful? What does your canvas look like?
Continue to move forward and live your life!
